Louise Hay

I stumbled across a free pdf that was available online called “Heal Your Body” by Louise Hay. It had the most insightful things in it about your body. It basically is a dictionary for any ailment in your body and how that relates emotionally to energies that are out of alignment.

I highly recommend this book. I have since bought “You can heal your life” too. She offers affirmations that can be said to replace the negative emotion causing the block in the body’s energy system.

Even bites, scratches, aches and pulls all have an emotional correlation. Usually to do with letting go of an old issue or forgiveness of yourself or others.

Now when I want to tap on a physical issue I can more quickly identify the core emotional issue by using Louise Hay’s “body dictionary”.  I will keep you posted on my progress :)

Dealing with Diabetes

I recently had a client bring her father to me about his diabetes.

She was worried he needed to reduce his blood sugar and heart pressure otherwise he would find himself in dialysis in two months. Unfortunately, he was not motivated to do anything.

I asked him how he felt about his diabetes but he did not give a direct answer. He started talking about how his children keep nagging him to take his pills and go for walks and to eat better. When I asked him again how did he feel about it, he again replied that – his kids tell him he has diabetes.

I figured we needed to start with him accepting that he has diabetes and the ownership for it was with him. So we began…

Even though I have this diabetes, I deeply and completely accept myself.

After 3 rounds he checked in and found:
Even though I hate this diabetes…
Even tough I’m angry I have diabetes…

He then found he needed things to blame for having diabetes:
Even though it’s my kids fault I have diabetes…
Even though I’m fat because I couldn’t be active once I had kids…
Even though they made me fat…
Even though I’m angry at them for making me so fat…

After this tapping, he realised that he had made himself fat and that the diabetes was because of a lack of self-care, not because of his children. At this point we began to address issues of self-worth and confidence that had caused a lack of self-care in the first instance.
